Red Bee Media Australia is Australia's leading media access organisation and one of the largest captioning companies in the world.

Red Bee Media Australia began life in 1982 as a not-for-profit company providing captions on television for the deaf and hearing impaired. In 2006 the company was bought by Red Bee Media Ltd, a London-based media business specialising in access services, broadcast playout and associated media services. Red Bee Media Australia Pty Ltd is now part of the multinational Red Bee Media Group.

We provide captioning services for the major television networks Nine Network, Network Ten and SBS. Other key clients include major advertisers and their agencies, video and DVD distributors, subscription television channels, and conferences in Australia and overseas.

With fully redundant remote connectivity and more than 160 staff located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, we have the flexibility to undertake a wide range of work that meets our clients’ national and live-to-air needs.

Our captioning work is not limited to Australia, We also provide captioning services to clients in the UK, North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. We deliver work in a range of formats and to the differing standards required in each market.

With an extensive archive and global contacts we can source existing caption files too, providing a cost effective method of captioning overseas programs.
